Anthony V. Margavio's special interests include general sociology, research methods, social movements, race and ethnic relations, religion, and mental health. His research has appeared in Rural Sociology, Sociological Spectrum, Qualitative Sociology, Sociological Perspectives, Sociology of Sport Journal, Work and Occupations, and Sociological Theory. He is currently working on the immigration and settlement of Sicilians in Louisiana and the development of early American sociology as social movement.
