The Department of Sociology invites applications for a full-time assistant professorship effective in the fall of 2008.   We are seeking candidates whose interests and qualifications include teaching courses in quantitative methods and statistics.  Substantive specialties are open, but preference will be given to candidates with interest in one or more of the following:  deviance, criminology, and/or social justice. Ph.D. is required, although a near-Ph.D. may be hired at the instructor level pending completion.  Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
